Having entered into exclusive negotiations a few weeks ago, RAGT Semences and Groupe Deleplanque have agreed on the acquisition process.

Subject to the necessary regulatory approvals, the Aveyron-based RAGT Group is expected to acquire all the shares in Groupe Deleplanque in the last quarter of 2024.

This strategic transaction will enable us to broaden our product portfolio," explained Laurent Guerreiro, Chairman of the Executive Board of the RAGT Group. "Deleplanque/Strube has recognised expertise in sugar beet. By combining the complementarities of the two structures, both in varietal selection and production, we aim to meet our customers' expectations in the best possible way".

Groupe Deleplanque, founded in 1848, is renowned for its expertise in seed multiplication, selection and distribution of beet and vegetable seeds in Europe.

"This integration by RAGT will enable Deleplanque and its Strube and van Waveren entities to develop new prospects, consolidate our breeding and invest more heavily in research," explained Eric Verjux, Chairman of Groupe Deleplanque.

"This acquisition, based on common values and a shared ambition, will mark an important stage in the history of both companies and will open up new opportunities for growth", assured Damien Robert, Managing Director of RAGT Semences, who announced synergies between the two Groups on other species such as cereals and sunflower.
