Disability: RAGT makes a commitment
As part of its disability policy, RAGT is committed to integrating disabled workers into the workforce and keeping them there, and is taking steps to raise awareness among its employees.
The latest action to date is RAGT's active participation in the national DuoDay scheme. The aim of this scheme is to enable a disabled worker to spend a day discovering a company and a job, thanks to the involvement of volunteer tutors. For this first participation, no fewer than 16 duos, RAGT employees and people with disabilities, were formed within different activities of the Group, including HR, DSITN communication, shops, logistics, research, the seed manufacturing plant and the production division.
It's an opportunity to encourage people to take up careers in the future, and above all to change the way we look at disability and demonstrate the feasibility of integrating disabled workers into our teams, whatever their profession.
"This experience has been very rewarding for them and for us. We were able to show them what we do on a daily basis," explains Alexandre Jolfre, manager of the RAGT Jardin & Maison shop in La Primaube.
All the pairs were unanimous in their desire to repeat the experience next year. RAGT's 2nd participation in 2024 is already planned!
