On Friday 17 December, the Supervisory Board of the RAGT Group appointed Laurent Guerreiro Chairman of the Group Executive Board.
On Friday 17 December, the Supervisory Board of the RAGT Group appointed Laurent Guerreiro as Chairman of the Group's Executive Board. A member of the Board since 2015 and Managing Director of RAGT Semences since 2017, he succeeds Claude Tabel, who has retired and will continue his work in the seed industry.
Laurent Guerreiro is proud of his lineage. He intends to follow in the footsteps of Daniel Segonds and Claude Tabel, his predecessors.
"We have to change our agricultural models. Society's expectations are high. RAGT will continue to provide solutions for farmers in all regions. The RAGT Group has a wealth of talent and its organisation, both at RAGT Plateau Central and RAGT Semences, has been designed to give it the resources it needs to achieve its ambitions," says Laurent Guerreiro.
"RAGT is in a positive dynamic and has the assets to build its future", says the new Chairman of the Executive Board with satisfaction.
A trained molecular biologist, Laurent Guerreiro, 48, began his professional career in plant breeding, before joining the Arvalis technical institute, where for 15 years he was immersed in the diversity of issues facing field crop growers. Laurent Guerreiro joined RAGT in 2013 as head of RAGT 2n, the research subsidiary of RAGT Semences.
"Created by farmers for farmers", RAGT is a regional company that originated in Aveyron, where its roots are still very much alive, and which over the decades has come to confront the major international markets.
