RAGT finalises process to acquire Groupe Deleplanque

RAGT is proud to announce the definitive acquisition of the Deleplanque group, a key player in the sugar beet and vegetable sectors in Europe.

RAGT is recognised for its experience in plant breeding and seed production, and the many complementary aspects will enable it to serve farmers and the industry even better.

RAGT and the Deleplanque group share expertise and common values. Already boasting the broadest portfolio of species in the seed industry, RAGT, through this union, is adding major new species to its offering, strengthening its positions in many countries and also enriching its skills and know-how.

This acquisition is a perfect illustration of the RAGT Group's strategy: to provide farmers with ever more comprehensive solutions to help them meet their economic, climatic and environmental challenges.

"The acquisition of the Deleplanque group is fully in line with the strategy shared with our shareholders to continue the development of our Group. It supports our growth ambition and considerably strengthens our activity as a multi-species seed breeder by clearly positioning us as a key player in the field," said Laurent Guerreiro, Chairman of the RAGT Group.

"This integration into RAGT will give the Deleplanque group additional resources to step up its investment in research and development. All our employees will be able to take advantage of this merger to broaden their professional horizons and strengthen their expertise," explained Eric Verjux, Chairman of Groupe Deleplanque.

"This acquisition represents a historic step for the RAGT Group's seeds division, positioning sugar beet among the Top 3 of our species. It offers the teams of both companies a unique opportunity to pool their know-how and mutually enrich their skills, thereby fostering a dynamic of collaboration and increased innovation. Thanks to a continuous flow of varietal innovations and expert agronomic support, RAGT aims to establish itself as the long-term partner of choice for farmers, distributors and the agricultural and agri-food sectors. Together, we will be able to capitalise on our respective strengths and build an ambitious future in a rapidly changing agricultural sector," said Damien Robert, Managing Director of the RAGT Group's seeds division.

The RAGT and Deleplanque teams are now ready to work together. The integration process will be able to begin so that we can unveil our ambitions in the second half of 2025.
