The process of RAGT Semences acquiring all the shares in Semara, which began last summer, was completed a few days ago. The Aveyron-based seeds company is now the sole owner of the industrial facility located near Le Mans (Sarthe), in the municipality of Maresché.

The Semara plant and its 23 employees specialise in sorting, mixing and packaging forage and turf seeds. It has an annual production capacity of almost 10,000 tonnes.

"It's an important tool on a European scale, which will enable us to improve our competitiveness in the fields of forage seeds, intercrops and turf".

Damien Robert, Managing Director of RAGT Semences.
