Actions

Focus area 1

Reducing our environmental impact

  • Carrying out a carbon assessment of scopes 1, 2 & 3 to identify the main emission sources and prepare the Group's climate trajectory
  • Modernising facilities to reduce their carbon impact and improve their energy performance (geothermal energy at RAGT Seeds UK, photovoltaic production plant in Albi, deployment of LEDs at industrial sites, etc.).
  • Contributing to the decarbonisation of agriculture by using measurement tools to assess the carbon impact of our seed solutions
  • Genotyping varieties adapted to climate change: increasing the proportion of drought-tolerant maize varieties, developing hybrid wheat seeds, etc.

Focus area 2

Improving quality of work life and conditions

  • Drawing up a "Health and Safety Management" programme to structure this area and develop internal preventive actions
  • Supporting employees with disabilities and raising awareness among all staff and managers about the importance of inclusion and working together
  • Negotiating a new working time agreement to promote work-life balance for employees

Focus area 3

Transition to sustainable agriculture

  • Continuation of the "Cap Jeune" scheme to support new start-ups (Livetock / Plant Production)
  • Structuring sustainable supply chains throughout the RAGT value chain by offering local, ethical and sustainable products and fair remuneration for farmers (insecticide-free soft wheat supply chain, "Nos blés d'ici" soft wheat supply chain with "Agri éthique" label, 100% French-produced top-quality durum wheat supply chain).
  • Our Agricultural Distribution business (Plateau Central) has joined the PADV movement (Pour une Agriculture Du Vivant), which aims to promote soil regeneration.
